買賣糾紛 - 法律

9年前，母親向遠在大陸的伯父買在臺灣的房屋，
伯父雖已回台灣近一年，
但今天律師（之前家裡也曾委託該律師處理房屋租賃的問題）來電，
說伯父委託他控告我們尚有一百多萬未結清。
要我們提出匯款證明。
想請問的疑點有以下:
1. 我們有義務協助對方律師蒐證嗎？
2. 9年前（上網有查說買賣糾紛追溯期15年），又是親戚買賣，法官會受理嗎？
3.我們非常確定有匯款，當初也是由代書處理，有需要請律師嗎？
另外有些傳真文件，字已經模糊，會不會影響?
有點像八點檔 ，但感謝大家。
